Saint Nicolas of Bari, patron saint of children, sailors, and travelers, and the prototype of Father Christmas, was bishop of Myra (Lycia) in Asia Minor during the AD 300s. His remains were said to have been taken to Bari in Italy during the 11th century. The saint is shown vested as bishop in an elaborately embroidered cope, fastened with a morse, and holding a crosier. By the mid-1400s, most Florentine artists had stopped using gold backgrounds in their pictures, preferring instead naturalistic backgrounds of landscapes and blue skies. However, elsewhere in Italy gold-ground painting remained popular, as in this painting by Crivelli, a a painter of conservative Late Gothic decorative sensibility, who spent his early years in the Veneto where he absorbed influences from the Vivarini, Squarcione, and Mantegna. By 1458 he left the Veneto and was never to return; he spent most of the remainder of his career in the March of Ancona, where he developed a distinctive personal style that makes a contrast to his Venetian contemporary Giovanni Bellini.

Kies die materiaal wat jy graag wil hê
In the dropdown menu right next to the article you can choose the size and material of your choice. That is why, we allow you to choose among the following options:
- Plakkaat op doek materiaal: The poster print is a printed flat cotton canvas with a fine finish on the surface, that reminds the actual work of art. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6 cm round about the work of art, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
- Seildruk: The canvas print, not to be confused with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy printed from an industrial printer. Your canvas of your favorite artpiece will give you the opportunity to transform your into a large artwork like you would see in a gallery. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without the help of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for any kind of wall.
- Aluminium dibond druk: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with a true effect of depth. For the Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print your chosen artpiece right on the surface of the aluminum material. The bright & white parts of the artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without glare.
- Gedrukte akrielglas met 'n glanseffek (met regte glasbedekking): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a print on plexiglass, changes the original artwork into stunning décor. Your artwork is custom-made with modern UV print machines. This makes sharp and rich colors. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your selected art replica against sunlight and heat for decades.

Belangrike nota: We do the best we can in order to depict the products in as much detail as possible and to display them visually in our shop. At the same time, the tone of the print materials, as well as the printing may diverge marginally from the presentation on the screen. Depending on your settings of your screen and the condition of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed as exactly as the digital version. In view of the fact that all the fine art prints are printed and processed manually, there may as well be minor deviations in the motif's exact position and the size.
