The painting was painted by the romanticist artist John Trumbull. The 190 year old work of art measures the size 19 5/8 x 24 1/8 in (49,8 x 61,2 cm) framed: 27 1/2 x 30 7/8 in (69,9 x 78,4 cm) and was painted with oil on canvas. Furthermore, this work of art is included in the Yale Universiteit se kunsgalery digital art collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere.
